Our computer was hijacked... had 158 viruses on it .... I think we are back up and working, we will see just finally got it fixed. I wish I knew how to do all that cause whew the repairman made quite a bit of money off of me.

and it just seemed to never be enough time to get on to blog .... My daughter's foot is still really yucky looking, can't remember if I posted that she went to the dr and he said it is a Grade 3 sprain which means torn ligament. She is in a compression boot until March 1st and we go in to see if anything else needs to be done, and a possible MRI.

as for me, well yesterday afternoon I was bent over to pick up something our dog was tearing up and he jumped up top of his head straight into bottom of my nose, and I saw stars and heard a crunch.... I have some swelling and it is very tender up on the bridge part of my nose, and one heck of a headache.... in fact, I am gonna go lay down now and rest.... Went to church this morning and kids have youth group tonight at 5... so I have time to nap I think.

just wanted to touch base and say HI and I am thinking about you, just been totally wrapped up...

Happy Valentine's Day

Wishing everyone a very Happy Valentine's Day, as for me, I am home today with my youngest, she fell roller skating on Saturday night and we spent all day in Acute Care yesterday, not sure if its just a bad sprain or if there is tendon damage, possible a fracture but it was hard to see on the xrays yesterday cause there was so much swelling and inflamation .... She goes to the podiatrist tommorrow at 10 to see what they think, until then she is home with foot up on pillows sitting on couch watching movies, right now she is watching Ramona and Beezus (she loves Selina Gomez) and she is just a laughing away.

I am heading into town in a lil bit to get her school stuff her teachers have gathered up for her and get some papers I need to fill out for tommorrow, so that I can go to work and hubby who is off next two days can take her in for her appt.

This swap was through A Pickled Pepper Patch and hosted by Char, my swap partner was Becky and WOWSERS she spoiled me so, I am such a lucky girl with two such great swap partners.

In this swap we were to send our partner, 5 of our favorite things, and Becky and I well we loved the same things so this was easy peasy. In this wonderful box of goodies I got today, there was a quilted heart makedo on an antique bobbin, a adorable lil bunny in an antique measuring cup, a cute cute cute crow in a rusty can with a flag and an adorable label, the cutest lil spring flowers on old wooden thread bobbins, a quilted piece of fabric in a black frame that is just awesome (and such small blocks) and the best thing of all was a prim candle board with 4 prim candles (have wanted one for forever.... woot woot ... love everything!!!! Thank you for spoiling me so!!! Your goodies are on the way, can't wait to know if you like your stuff.

I am so spoiled received 2 swaps in the last 2 days

The first one is from swap through A Primitive Place - Tammy's blog, wowsers such great stuff and I feel so bad because I guess I am the only one who just sent 3 things, and my partner Nancy sent me so much awesome stuff. First I got this gorgeous prarie doll holding a rustin lid with a candle light in side, then a treen candy mold that is to die for, a adorable pillow tuck, some smelly good melts, cheesecloth wrapped smelly goods, 2 wax crows, and 2 magnetic note pads that are so primtastic and a rusty tin star garland. Thank you so much for spoiling me so good! I can only hope you like your stuff as well. my pics aren't the best as they are from my phone (dog ate the camera cord) I will show more better pics once I have redecorated for the spring.

Busy Busy Weekend

Whew , time to slow down and rest, been on the go it seems pretty much all weekend. Today is a gorgeous day here, Sun is shining so pretty, and other than a cool breeze it is awesome! Makes you wonder what is coming next , after every gorgeous Sunday the weather gets nasty by Tuesday.

My youngest daughter was baptized today, :-) it was such a wonderful time, the pastor is such a good man and he was so loving and sweet in the words he said about my daughter. Its just been an awesome day.

Off to get ready for the Super Bowl, woot woot Go Steelers.

Wow its February already

this year is flying by... I have so much to do and so much less time to do it now that January and come and gone. I am not on as much but I am here in my heart, just trying to spend less time on puter and more time working on our inventory and all the swaps I am signed up for.

Hope everyone is well and hanging in during all this weather we have been having, here in NC is not bad, but it is might cold and grey this evening when I got off work, who knows what we will wake up too.

Sorry Its Been Awhile Since Last Post

Its been a very busy week at work and then this weekend just seemed to FLY by, today was GORGEOUS here in NC it was actually 70 degrees... but starting tommorrow the bottom falls back out of the weather. Such a tease Mother Nature is...

I haven't really been crafting much this week, I do have a swap I have to get out on Friday for a swap I am through A Primitive Place and then I have another to get out I am in with The Pickled Pepper Patch by the next Friday, I hope to get both mailed on Friday (as that is payday and I have to wait til then to get them out)

Tommorrow's my Mom's birthday so doubt to get anything done tommorrow, but hopefully I will be able to get my act in gear and get to crafting Tuesday, that being the 1st day of Feburary.

well time to get off here and get some laundry folded and get ready for bed.

Saturday's Activities

Good Morning All,
I got up earlier to get my hubby a warm breakfast cooked before he left out for work on this cold morning, so I just decided to stay up and do some laundry and clean a lil, now I am resting, still not up to par from the stomach bug so trying not to over do it. And so now I am here online checking out my favorite primitive communites and blogs. I am still learning about my blog and how to add things and link to this and that so bare with me as I am a work in progress all the time.
I will be working on my "hares" today, got 12 of them traced, cutout, sewed and stuffed last night and now I am on to the stitching, painting and staining and decorating them. My hubby last night saw a couple of the faces I had stitched so far (just noses and mouths) and he said they look like *pissed off fun man chu wabbits* lol. I hope to get a couple done before he gets home from work to show him the finished thing and see what he thinks at that point.
Do you have big plans today? Its cold here, but not any snow or ice *yet* we are predicted to get a system coming in Monday evening and it is to be around til Wednesday, and at this point they aren't sure exactly what we will get ... depends on the track and the speed of the two systems meeting over top of us. I personally would prefer snow if we have to have anything but where we live (NC) is normally the ice line between the North and the South.... Maybe we will get lucky and it be just rain, kids have already missed 6 days this school year so far and next week is two of the 6 makeup days figured into the schedule, soooo who knows. Here we missed a whole day the kids could have gone because the weather men were predicting a snow event to start at lunch time and it didn't even start til 5 pm soooo who knows what will come of this next system.
Personally I am ready for SPRING, I am so over Winter and the cold, and germs floating around.

well I have talked enough I think , time to go get dog back in house from his jaunt outside and to get back to work on my hares.

After such a crappy weather week, bitter cold, ice and snow, woke up this morning to the sun shining bright and the temps actually comfortable out. Gets me in the mood for SPRING!! I am so over the Winter, time to move on to Spring now please.....

I took a day off from the world and I am staying home ALL day and resting (actually slept in til 9:30) and crafting all day long. I am in the mood to do it and have some excellent new patterns and got muslin and thread and yarn Friday night, so today is gonna be productive. Which means I can't sit here on the computer all day, so I just wanted to pop in quickly and say HI and wish you all an excellent Sunday.

Well, been one crazy week so far

we had a lil weather system come through that could have been huge but as it came through NC is stayed low south, so we only ended up with about 2 inches of snow and 1/2 inch of ice on top... this came through Monday evening and Tuesday, so school has now been out Monday (cause they were thinking it would come on around lunch time) Tuesday cause it was messy, Wednesday still alot of ice on roads, and then now just got the call its out tommorrow as well, still must be ice somewhere in the school zone, here its all clear on the roads, driveways are tricky but roads are fine. My 13 yr old daughter is driving me NUTS!!!! lol however she is gonna go to a friends house for the day tommorrow and I am going to work, fun fun fun....

haven't really crafted much. the headcold/cough bug is back again and I feel like my head is in a vice.... been really blah,,, so nothing much done. But hoping the weekend will be better. *fingers are crossed*

Sweet Peaceful Sunday

I got up with all the aches and pains and reasons not to go and get myself ready and went to church this morning and I am so glad I did. Ever have one of those days you feel the preacher is looking right at you and his sermon is just for you? Well that was me in a nutshell today. His sermon was about when Jesus went to Mary's home and she sat at his feet and washed his feet with her hair and how others were trying to call her out and say she was wasting precious perfumes and being lazy. Well he also talked about her sister, Martha. And how she is always taking on more than she can handle and stressing out over the little things so much that she totally misses the "IT" in the room, the whole parable the whole lesson she missed it because she was worried about feeding Jesus and making sure the house was clean and so on and so forth. I am a "Martha" .... I get so wrapped up in the everyday things, making sure everyone else is tended too "fed" and nutured that I almost missed the "IT" in the lesson today. I have to slow down, stop fretting over everything , don't worry about today, and be more at peace and give more of my time and thought to him and the lessons he is teaching me everyday.
God is working, I just have to believe and follow even when everything else is going on, I have to stop and listen for the "IT" ...

Happy Blustery Saturday

I am a little late in my post but at least it is still Saturday as I post this.

Didn't do alot today, I 1st coated 3 jars with modge podge and coffee and have them drying now, will 2nd coat them tommorrow (which I hear is the worst one) and let them dry a day or two before modge podge the final coat.

have a braided rug in the works ( its actually a crocheted candle mat rug)

and I have lots and lots of nekid raggedies laying in the wagon waiting to be finished and clothed.

After church tommorrow hope to get some more done, had to run out to the grocery today and here in NC when the word Snow is mentioned the grocery store is the last place you want to be. But I had to do my weekly shopping and so I went, and I swear there are some serious NUTS in this town.

Well time to go tend to the sick hubby and get ready for bed myself, I think I will sleep on the couch as I don't want to catch what he has.

Tuesday 1-4-11

Good Morning All, I had the day off yesterday and actually other than taking down Christmas decor really didn't do much, was still suffering from the bad acid reflux episode from the night before.
I hate I totally blew a day off but it was necessary I guess, sometimes we just have to stop and slow down and rest. Things have been so non-stop with the holidays and work and then my in-laws visit, just when it was finally quiet I said REST Angie and I did.

So today I have a foot dr appt at 9:30 and then I am back to work. I also plan to get a Mega Million lottery ticket tonight for the big drawing. It would be so nice to win, and I am not greedy I will even settle for 1 million who needs the whole 330 million..... lol. I would love to have enough that I didn't have to work a full-time job, but then again if I wasn't working I might go nuts. Schools nowadays at least here in NC are so lacking, would love to homeschool my 7th grader, she gets rushed so she doesn't learn like she should. My niece who has been homeschooled from the start is so smart and so advanced... but then again she doesn't get the socializing my daughter does at public school.... BUT I digress, I have to work, so I can't homeschool her and its a mute point right now anyway.

I got one of my swap partners today, should also be getting another one but must have went to my work email, I have those two blog swaps one through A Primitive Place - Tammy and the other through The Pickled Pepper Patch... which both are awesome blogs, check them out if you haven't already.

up super early with bad acid reflux

I am up very early, was sleeping so good then felt all this acid burn and thought I would be sick right there in bed, so jumped up and came out to try and find my Tums, but no luck there so drinking a glass of milk and sitting here surfing the web til things calm down.

anyone have any old family remedies for bad nights like this? I hate the burn, not sure what I ate yesterday but WOW , when I figure it out I won't do it again....

later today, since I still have one more day off work, I plan to get Christmas tree down and out of the house and all the decorations put away and then I want to craft the rest of the day away. We still have alot of leftovers so cooking is not a necessity today , hope that keeps me freed up to work on some new goodies.

Good Morning Everyone

Well, my inlaws are on the way down from PA today, I sure hope that have a safe trip, always worry about them driving especially in the winter, last check in they are just south of Greensburg and driving through freezing rain. I pray that their travels are safe.....

Anyone made their New Year's resolutions yet? I hate to make them because I always seem to break them. I am just gonna say that I am going to do a major overhaul of my lifestyle come January 1st. I have really not taken care of myself like I should this past year, and I am not a spring chicken anymore so its time to start I would say. I am gonna start small weekly goals for myself and see what comes from them. Wish me luck.

I have started making some salt dough ornies/bowl fillers this week. I saw some really neat ones on a fellow blogger, And Baby Makes Five. And I said you know I am gonna give them and try and they are so easy, just taking a break from them cleaning for the visit, and will get back to them after my inlaws head back home Monday.

well I have to get back to work, last day of this year workwise.... yipppeee

Its Snowing in NC

I love it.... it has been snowing since around Noon and hasn't slowed up yet... so gorgeous outside. I have Christmas music playing on the radio and I have Orange Slices drying in the oven and I am in the craft room getting ready to make some pretties!!!

it is time to really get my butt in gear and get my Christmas gifts and decor done. I have been in such a funk, I do a few things and then stop for a week or more.... I really need to get in gear and get some stuff completed.

today, I told myself stitch one thing from beginning to end and so I did, it is drying right now from staining it then I will iron and frame it tommorrow. he is a very cute lil guy so I am making at least one more for me lol Sorry he is sideways our puppy at the camera wire that connects to the computer so I had to take it with my cell phone.

Very Nice Peaceful Sunday

This has been a very nice peaceful Sunday, very relaxing. Not alot done craft wise but went to a new church with my daughter, who was invited by her new boyfriend, and met his family and saw alot of ppl I know just never knew they went to the same church. It was a great service with awesome music, and it made my daughter happy to be able to spend time with her guy. She has hung out with him all day and now they have gone the youth group gathering at the church til 7pm.
I am so blessed!

She has a place on her arm that after years of it being there finally had it checked and it's Basal Cell Carcinoma, so it will be removed tommorrow. I pray it is not too deep and that just the removal will be enough, that she won't need radiation or chemo. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

been awhile, and I am sorry for that. Things have been hectic around here. But this is my favorite time of the year and I am so excited about decorating right now. I love the rich colors of fall, when the leaves are changing and the temps drop..
I am working right now on making some crochet balls to first, fill either my dough bowl with pine inside or to fill a glass jar I have with a rusty lid. I have the LionBrand yarn (Vanna's Choice) in the colors of Evergreen, Honey, Rust, Brick and Chocolate. And I making basic crochet chains and then gluing them to styrofoam balls I have had for awhile.
I must say I am very pleased so far, had a moment last nite with the hot glue .... as well all do, but I won the battle. I will post pics when I have them all completed, 2 more to go.

Hope everyone is well, I have had my abdmonial u/s this morning and now we wait to hear back from the dr for the results.
I am very sore, as they had to push really hard with the wand to see what they needed to see and now I am really aching.
But afraid to take pain meds cause who knows what I have that will do damage to my liver, need a meeting with the dr to find out what to take and what not to take.

Gonna go do some laundry and try and get into the mood to go in the craft room and do some Christmas ornies.

Well School Starts back tommorrow and I am so happy ... My 13 yr old daughter has been so *bored* she needs to get back to school and do some work lol.

I have not been so creative the last two nights , been getting in late from work and just haven't felt the creative urge after long work day then coming home to have to cook and clean....
But I will be doing more this weekend definately, gotta get my stuff made for the giveaway, and have a few special goodie packages in the works for a couple of special prim buddies.

Weather finally cooling down

it has been cooler and kinda dreary and rainy but to me that is just prime crafting time. I finally got back in my craft room last nite, seems likes its been forever but I needed a break I think after the big push for the show we had over the 4th of July.

I am so excited , I am going on my first all girls primitive gathering weekend this weekend. I am leaving out Friday morning bright and early and driving up to stay with one of my internet besties that I have know for awhile online but have never met and I can't wait. Then we will drive over and meet up with the other gals and shop til we drop in Amish country in Berlin OH on Saturday and then I will head back home on Sunday.

I have found some really neat stuff out thrifting that I need to update you all on and show pics.
I am trying to get my head back in the program lol.

I am off now to look at other friends blogs, be Blessed this week.

Sunday July 25 - HOT-HOT-HOT

it is sooo hot out today I am doing all I can to stay in and not have to go out there. I need to be in my craft room but here I am sitting on computer lol. Guess I need to move computer into craft room and then maybe I could get something done ha ha (nah I doubt it).
The countdown is moving closer to the A Primitive Journey Gathering in Berlin OH, and I am so excited. I am staying with a girl I have know only online but we are such good friends, I can't wait, she lives just outside of where all the other gals are staying and we are gonna drive over together and shop with them all day, then hang out at her place Sunday til I have to start back home. I am so excited, gonna meet ladies I have talked to for years, and never dreamed of meeting in person and hanging with them and shopping in the Amish Community, ahhhh a dream come true for me.
I can't wait!!!!!

i am sorry it has been so long since my last post, been wrapped up in quite a few things and just really haven't made time for my blog, so its my fault.
I still haven't take any pics from my thrifting either, sheeeshhh Angie get with it.

I am going to be going to the A Primitive Journey Community Gathering in Berlin, OH the first weekend in August, and I am so excited. I will finally get to meet so many ladies I have only talked to online. And I get to stay with a girl that is one of best online buddies ever. Still working on if I will be spending night at the motel with the rest of the group or going back to my buddies house after our day of shopping. If I stay with her, more money to spend hehehehe

I am also working on a Greensboro Chapter of the A Primitive Journey Community. We will meet once a month and either craft together or thrift/antique/shop together. I think it will be really neat and if you are local to the Greensboro area, let me know and I can point you in the right direction to get signed up. Our first meeting will be August 21st, still working on details of what time and where.

Thrifting Saturday

ever been to the A Primitive Journey Community? if not u need to go, it is awesome collaboration of like mind crafters and craft lovers for the Primitives we all love. Diane (the director of this community) has come up with an awesome idea. Have you ever thought it would be great to meet up with fellow prim lovers and spend a day either visiting local prim shoppes or thrifting or even sitting around doing a project together? Well that was her idea and she has come up with a new idea. She has gone about setting up Chapters of like mind prim lovers in several different area's largest cities and they will meet once a month on the 3rd Saturday of each month, and have a great time together.
I know for me there are not many ppl that like the primitive look like I do in my city, but there are a couple of gals within a 1-2 hr drive, and I can't wait to get to meet them in person and spend 1 day once a month and have a day of laughs and primitive craft memories to share together.
Who can say they have enough friends? and who of us wouldn't like to hang out with another person or group of ppl that we can share our love of primitives with?
I am so excited and I can't wait til August 21st, the first meeting.

I have signed up to be the local Greensboro, NC director for this chapter. if you are local and Greensboro isn't too far for you to drive, come on and join the group. you have to join the community first and then once accepted you will be signed up for your local chapter.

wow where did my weekend go? it just seems like it was Saturday morning. But here we go again, I hope to have a more productive week this week, and to take time this week to make at least 2 new things.

I hope all have a great Sunday, and relax, refresh and reinvigorate yourself for the week ahead. I still have my son here, but he goes back to his Dad's this afternoon, so we are having brunch right now (French toast, sausage and fresh cantaloupe) and then we will get ready and go to see my Mom after she gets out of church.

I will be back home later, and hope to get in craft room and gets started on some things. Been out of it all weekend, due to son being here and trying to spend some quality time with him.

if you haven't heard of A Primitive Journey Community, go check it out, it is a awesome place and they are setting up local chapters throughout the US and Canada , so that we can have a get together of like prim minds once a month and either go shopping or do some crafting, so many things we can do, and who ever has enough friends? especially ones that love the prim crafting.

Saturday, what to get into today?

Good Morning,
Hope everyone is doing well, and has great plans for the weekend. I got a surprise yesterday, my 16yr old son that stays so busy and doesn't have time to see me much, is here for the weekend. I am so happy to get to spend sometime with him, however that does mean no crafting for me lol. Don't want to waste what little time I have been blessed with , he hasn't been here since Christmas.
on another note, I am totally excited I am signed up to go to a Primitive Gathering in Berlin, OH on the weekend of August 6-8. I have always wanted to go to a gathering but there was always something that came up, however not this time. I am going and it is Amish Country and we are staying there overnight and doing some shopping .... I can't wait, starting my savings right now for my trip.

ok the boys are still sleeping (hubby, son, and puppy) so I am gonna get a few things done around the house, so that the rest of the day I can spend with my guys.

well lets begin with the fact I am home today from work, my 4 legged baby, Buford T (our 1 yr old Bassett Hound) got neutered yesterday and I didn't want to leave him home alone in case he reinjured his sutures or if something happened. So I took the day off.
now what to do.... I really should get in to my craft room and do some cleaning and rearranging to get myself ready to get started on my Christmas crafts. So far though, I haven't made it past the computer, lol.
I have been messing around on Facebook, and looking for some new patterns as well. But now I must get my butt in gear and do something productive.

hope you are having a blessed day, it is very hot here today to be over 100 degrees so staying inside as much as possible.

A New Beginning

We are just home from PA and the Ford City Heritage Days Festival over the 4th of July. It was a great time visiting family as well as selling our crafts. We had several people enquire into our online site, (which we had closed due to no interest) so starting today we have reopened it and we will be updating it over the next few days to get it back on track. the site will be www.snaprimitivecrafts.com . We will also be starting to rebuild stock for a few other shows we have going on in the next several months, as well as for next year's show again.

Any free patterns you know of please send info my way, need new ideas.
